4-H Teen Conference
Kentucky 4-H Teen Conference is a state level leadership conference for senior (must have graduated 8th grade and not passed their 18th birthday as of January 1st of the program year) 4-H members works to develop leadership and citizenship skills, inspire teens to continue their 4-H involvment and them with our land grant university, the University of Kentucky. During this 4 day conference, teens develop valuable life skills, leadership competencies and communication abilities by taking part in over 75+ two day and one day educational, hands-on and fun classes. Delegates have an opportunity to stay on the University of Kentucky campus while visiting dorms, food services and buildings that allow them to see how a real college student lives. Delegate are encouraged to explore their future education and degree plans by exploring all the University of Kentucky College of Agriculture, Food and Environment can offer. Several contests or events are held during this conference. These include things such as Fashion Revue, the Culinary Challenge, State 4-H Officer elections, and selection of our future Teen Board members.
